A pure malt spirit was transported from Scotland to Jerez de la Frontera in Spain, where it matured for seven years in select American oak casks that previously held exquisite Oloroso, Amontillado, and Pedro Ximenez sherries. The casks were aged using the "criaderas and soleras" system, a maturation and blending process also employed in sherry production. The otherworldly flavor profile of this unique malt whisky is clearly due to the combination of the three different sherry cask maturations, which impart a complex personality and unusual depth to this whisky. Its color is a clear, light amber with golden reflections. On the nose, it offers wonderfully rounded aromas with creamy notes, resulting in great smoothness and a balanced, delicate harmony. On the palate, this exceptional malt whisky reveals itself as powerful with plenty of personality and a lovely spicy note. Its finish is very smooth and elegant. Abducted Malt Whisky is produced in a limited annual production of only 715 bottles. Best enjoyed with a splash of mineral water, soda, or neat with ice.
