The artisanal Distillerie de la Seine is located in the heart of Le Havre's old slaughterhouse district in Normandy, at the mouth of the Seine. Founder Manuel Bouvier is a fourth-generation member of a family of passionate distillers. Even as a young man, Manuel distilled fruits such as plums, mirabelle plums, pears, grape pomace, and quince, harvested from the family's orchards, alongside his father, Serge Bouvier. The heart of the distillery is the Müller Aroma Still, which allows for the continuous control and refinement of the spirits' aromas during maturation. Distillerie de la Seine Loupé Amer is a wonderful bitter, a skillful alternative to Picon liqueur, and was created through collaboration with partner breweries. These breweries supplied the necessary ingredients to create the unique Loupé Amer. Pure spring water offers the nose and palate a delicate minerality and a rounded, unique texture, while gentian and orange lend this Loupé Amer a pleasant freshness and bitterness.
