Sugarcane cultivation and the resulting rum production have a long tradition in Mauritius. Two female founders, long involved in establishing rum production on the island, have launched a very rare, limited-edition premium rum called "The Barrum Reserves." This limited edition, Barrels No. 46 & 51, is a rare blend of two casks, resulting in a powerful and significant rum, with only 1,741 bottles produced per cask number. The nose offers beautiful notes of oak, butter, fudge, tropical fruits, dark cherries, and nuts. On the palate, it reveals notes of chocolate fudge, molasses, pepper, and cloves. The finish of Barrel No. 46 & 51 Rum is well-balanced, intensely flavorful, with wonderfully smooth and rounded notes.

The Barrum Reserves series is an exclusive selection of high-quality rums from Mauritius, handcrafted to the highest standards and produced in strictly limited editions. These select premium rums are characterized by their exceptional smoothness, beautifully rounded notes, and outstanding flavor. This Classic Vintage 2018 is based on the finest local molasses. After gentle distillation in a column still, it matured for seven years in new French oak barrels, allowing it to develop its exceptionally robust profile and character before being bottled in 2018. The nose reveals lovely notes of oak, vanilla, and sugarcane. The palate delights with notes of dark chocolate, hazelnut, and dates. Wonderfully smooth and supple on the tongue, it reveals woody notes of cinnamon and nutmeg on the finish.
