987 Spirits Drinks was founded in 2015 and launched 987 Gin, ‘the first gin from León’ – created in El Bierzo and refined with the elegance of the region’s Mencía wine. This gin has already earned the company international recognition, including awards at the China Wine and Spirits Awards (CWSA), the International Spirits Challenge in the United Kingdom, the International Wine and Spirit Competition in London, and the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

A year later, the company expanded its range with 987 Lollipop, a gin with the distinctive flavour of Bierzo cherries – sweet and caramelised. The 987 Lollipop is aimed at discerning gin connoisseurs, but its unique Bierzo cherry flavour also makes it ideal for anyone who has not yet discovered the world of gin. The exquisite Spanish 987 Nueveochosiete London Dry Gin from 987 Spirits Drinks SL is crafted from 14 fine botanicals, including juniper and citrus fruits, as well as vanilla beans, thyme, bitter chamomile, lavender, and Mencía wine from the El Bierzo wine region of Spain. Some of the other botanicals remain a closely guarded secret. The botanicals are carefully double-distilled individually in copper pot stills. Its clear, brilliant color and seductive aromas of juniper, fresh herbs, and a hint of delicate blossoms captivate even before the first drop. On the palate, it feels soft and creamy, almost oily, and impresses with the intense flavor of juniper and herbs, complemented by the fine Mencía wine. The finish reveals a delicate sweetness and spice with floral notes and vanilla.
