Cockspur Rum

In 1884, the Danish merchant Valdemar Hanschell founded the Hanschell Innis Ltd. distillery on the beautiful Caribbean island of Barbados. It was here that the iconic rum brand ‘Cockspur’ was created, which is now marketed by Cockspur Rum Inc. Barbados. The trademark – a proud, colourful rooster on the bottle label – symbolises the quality and character of this exceptional rum.

Cockspur remains true to its production tradition to this day: only the finest quality sugar cane molasses and the purest spring water from the island are used. After a long ageing process in specially selected bourbon oak casks, the rum is carefully blended, embodying the authentic flavour of a genuine Caribbean rum from Barbados.

Cockspur rums are renowned for their delicate, golden flavour and are considered among the finest rums in the Caribbean. Over the years, the brand has won numerous international awards, including a double gold medal at the prestigious San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
