The 12/12 Pastis de Saint-Tropez is a classic French pastis that truly manages to blend tradition and modernity. The distinctive bottle design was created by Saint-Tropez artist Quentin Monge. This highly authentic anise-flavored spirit is produced in Marseille's oldest working distillery (established in 1884), currently run by the Cristal Limiñana family. First, star anise is carefully distilled in a column still. This is followed by a series of macerations of fresh, locally sourced figs, orange blossoms, and sweet almonds, along with various botanicals and spices, such as licorice and vanilla. Hand-picked plants from the Bay of Saint-Tropez, including myrtle and thyme, are also added to the blend. Robust notes of star anise, licorice, candied fruit, fennel, rosemary, and a delicate hint of Mediterranean herbs delight the nose. Lazy Dodo VSOP Rum embodies the long tradition of the Grays Distillery in Mauritius, uniting masterful distillation with exotic character. Made from molasses and distilled in a column still, it matures for six to eight years in a selection of high-quality casks. French oak, American oak, and even peated whisky casks are used, lending it exceptional depth and complexity. The cellar master blends different vintages into a balanced cuvée, culminating in a multifaceted spectrum of aromas. Even in the glass, it impresses with its rich golden hue and brilliant reflections. The nose reveals yellow fruits, pineapple peel, caramel, and sweet spices, accompanied by a delicate smokiness. Pure and brilliant in the glass, it unfolds aromas of citrus fruits and orange blossom on the nose, underscored by a delicate caramel note. On the palate, Ocucaje 100 Anos Pisco Mosto Verde Italia is elegant and delicate with a strong character and a long, lingering finish.

Distillerie Reimonenq was founded in 1916 by Joseph Reimonenq, Consul General of Guadeloupe. A passionate rum enthusiast, he planted his first sugarcane plantations between the sea and the mountains in Sainte Rose, Guadeloupe. In the 1960s, his son, Léopold Reimonenq, took over the business. Full of ambition, he continuously modernized production techniques and recipes. Through his great dedication, he was a key promoter of Guadeloupean rum. Since 1975, the distillery has practiced sustainable agriculture, using vinasse (a residue from rum production) to irrigate the sugarcane plantations. This rum clearly bears the signature of the distillery's founder. The blend was filled into selected oak barrels in 2009 and matured slowly in Guadeloupe's tropical climate. Reimonenq Rhum Vieux Cuvée Fernand d'Oro 2009, a limited edition of 1,600 bottles, presents itself in a beautiful color and displays a perfectly balanced bouquet of spicy and fruity aromas on the nose. On the palate, it is full-bodied, with similar aromas to those on the nose, finishing with subtle woody notes. It won gold at the Concours Agricole de Paris 2014.

In the far north of Scotland, in John O'Groats, the 8 Doors Distillery produces a whisky that combines craftsmanship, heritage, and legend. The "Seven Sons" line is inspired by the story of Jan de Groot and his seven sons, who together created an octagonal table with eight doors – a symbol of equality, community, and deeply rooted Scottish tradition. The Seven Sons 10 Years Blended Scotch Whisky is an expressive blend with a high malt content, matured for ten years in European oak casks previously used for sherry. This maturation gives it its deep, golden color and a complex, harmonious flavor profile. Chill-filtration and added coloring are deliberately omitted, allowing the whisky to retain its natural character. On the nose, notes of caramel, roasted hazelnuts, vanilla glaze, and dry hay emerge. On the palate, aromas of sultanas, almonds, and gentle oak spice unfold, creating a well-rounded and approachable overall impression. The finish is short to medium-long, pleasantly smooth, and balanced. This whisky is excellent enjoyed neat at room temperature, but also shines as a classic whisky highball with ginger beer and fresh orange zest.
