Distillerie Reimonenq was founded in 1916 by Joseph Reimonenq, Consul General of Guadeloupe. A passionate rum enthusiast, he planted his first sugarcane plantations between the sea and the mountains in Sainte Rose, Guadeloupe. In the 1960s, his son, Léopold Reimonenq, took over the business. Full of ambition, Léopold never stopped modernizing production techniques and recipes. Today, the company is still owned by the Reimonenq family. This crystal-clear white agricultural rum from Reimonenq holds the official "Rhum Agricole of Guadeloupe with Designation of Origin" label and is made from pure sugarcane juice. It is produced using esters that concentrate in the heart of the distillation column still—hence its name, "Coeur de Chauffe" (Heart of the Distillation). On the nose, this unique Reimonenq Blanc Coeur de Chauffe is very aromatic, with pleasant herbal notes. On the palate, it reveals notes of citrus fruits, stewed fruits, and a great deal of freshness. The finish is delicate and slightly peppery. An excellent Rhum Agricole, ideally suited for special cocktails.

This process not only gave the Reimonenq JR Cuvée Spéciale its beautiful color but also firmly locked in the aromas, contributing to an impressive flavor profile. The distillery took the bold step of allowing this aged Rhum Agricole to approach the aromas of their bourbon range. This gave it a light and woody profile. The nose detects notes of red fruits, honey, and hazelnuts. On the palate, it opens very smoothly with notes of vanilla and dried fruit. The finish reveals peppery notes. A good accompaniment to interesting cocktails.

Every bottle of Reimonenq Rhum Vieux Cuvée Quintessence Millésime 2001 represents the utmost care, craftsmanship, and a deep connection to the house's tradition. The rum was gently distilled and bottled in 2001. On the nose, it is intense and expressive with captivating aromas that are powerful, slightly sweet, and very distinctive – quite typical of a great vintage rum. On the palate, it is fresh and full-bodied with elegant oak notes and culminates in a pleasantly long, harmonious finish.
