This exquisite Presidente José Marti Luxury Rum is a product of the Dominican Republic-based distillery Oliver & Oliver, a family business of Cuban origin dedicated to crafting high-end, artisanal rum. The distillate for this premium rum, made from a high concentration of ultra-ripened malts from local molasses and sugarcane juice, matured for many years in medium-toasted French ex-Cognac casks. These casks impart greater porosity, allowing for more air penetration and a richer maturation; as well as a lower tannin concentration, which limits astringency and results in a slower, more balanced transfer between the distillate and the cask. An absolute pinnacle of rum, it boasts a dark oak color, infused with beautiful reddish and golden hues. On the nose, it reveals a slightly ethereal character, with intense aromas of aged oak, vanilla, and nuts. On the palate, a wonderful harmony of roasted walnuts, raisins, strawberries, and honey unfolds, leading into a silky, long, and balanced finish. A unique rum for connoisseurs.
