Cognac/Brandy/Wine Brandy
Cognac, brandy and Weinbrand are fine spirits with a long tradition. They are produced by distilling wine and are then matured in wooden casks, which gives them their characteristic depth and complexity. Cognac is a protected designation for brandy from the French region of Cognac, whilst ‘Weinbrand’ is the German term for similar products. The delicate aromas of vanilla, dried fruit and oak make these spirits versatile companions – whether enjoyed neat, on the rocks or as a base for cocktails. Their quality is often determined by the length of ageing, ranging from younger VS grades to the exquisite XO grades. Cognac and brandy epitomise elegance and enjoyment of the highest order.
