Pastis
Pastis is a traditional French aperitif known for its distinctive aniseed flavour. It was developed in the early 20th century as a legal alternative to absinthe and has since established itself as a cult drink, particularly in the south of France. Pastis is usually diluted with water, giving it a milky, opalescent colour – a phenomenon known as the ‘louche effect’. As well as aniseed, pastis often contains herbs such as fennel and liquorice, which give it its complex flavours. Whether enjoyed as a refreshing summer drink or paired with small dishes, pastis symbolises the relaxed, Mediterranean way of life. Its unique flavour makes it a timeless classic amongst aperitifs.

Ardent Pastis BIO 0.5L
Pastis, which initially gained popularity due to the former ban on absinthe, is today a spirit that always tastes primarily of anise (or star anise). Pastis Ardent, which is even certified organic, adds a full-bodied, summery freshness to the mix. Besides anise, other botanicals such as licorice, coriander, cardamom, Scots pine, and mugwort contribute to the French spirit's distinctive finesse. While its richness delights connoisseurs of anise aperitifs, its sweetness is what also captivates newcomers. In addition to enjoying it neat, it is often mixed with very cold water in a ratio of up to 1 to 5. On hot or sunny days, however, it is recommended to enjoy Pastis classically over ice cubes.

Manguin Pastis 0.7L
The Manguin distillery is located on France's largest river island – Île de la Barthelasse – just outside Avignon. An old Manguin recipe, primarily based on cardamom, anise extract, licorice, coriander, vanilla, cinnamon, and thyme, was given a touch of pear brandy, resulting in a unique pastis recipe for the distillery. The addition of Williams pear brandy enlivens this subtle blend of herbs and spices, making it soft and rounded. The combination of a rather spicy pastis with the sweetness of the pear creates an incredible blend. Manguin Pastis is presented in an elegant, distinctive black bottle and offers the nose and palate a wonderfully subtle yet powerful bouquet of aromas, including spices and herbs, along with lovely, soft pear notes. Simply a refined, full-bodied pastis from Provence that will win over even the most discerning palates.

Manguin Pastis Olive 0.7L
Emmanuel and Béatrice Hanquiez have been the new owners of Maison Manguin since 2011. Originally founded in the 1940s by Claude Manguin, he planted and cultivated several dozen hectares of pear and peach trees. This expertly crafted Manguin Pastis features a subtle blend of typical Provençal spices and botanicals, such as cardamom, coriander, vanilla, cinnamon, and thyme, complemented by hints of green apple and fresh lemon zest. A refined, full-bodied, aromatic pastis, beautifully harmonious and smooth, which is classically served to the connoisseur with ice-cold water in a ratio of five parts water to one part pastis.

Opyos Pastis de Luxembourg 2020 0.75L
Opyos Pastis de Luxembourg is a handcrafted anise-flavored aperitif inspired by the French pastis tradition and refined through a meticulous production process. It begins with eleven carefully selected aromatic plants, herbs, and spices from local and international regions. These ingredients are individually infused in neutral alcohol and macerated for several days to gently extract their unique aromas. This process creates several infusions, each contributing its own characteristic qualities to the final product. The next step involves traditional distillation in a copper still, where the essential oils, essences, and delicate aromas are concentrated. The distillate and infusions are then blended and carefully blended with demineralized water until the pastis achieves its balanced, harmonious structure. The result is an expressive, multi-layered anise-flavored aperitif with depth, clarity, and elegant spice, convincingly combining artisanal precision with aromatic finesse.
