The 12/12 Pastis de Saint Tropez is a classic French pastis that truly manages to blend tradition and modernity. The distinctive bottle design was created by Saint-Tropez artist Quentin Monge. This highly authentic anise-flavored spirit is produced in Marseille's oldest working distillery (established in 1884), currently run by the Cristal Limiñana family. First, star anise is carefully distilled in a column still. This is followed by a series of macerations of fresh, locally sourced figs, orange blossoms, and sweet almonds, along with various botanicals and spices, such as licorice and vanilla. Hand-picked plants from the Bay of Saint-Tropez, including myrtle and thyme, are also added to the blend. Robust notes of star anise, licorice, candied fruit, fennel, rosemary, and a delicate hint of Mediterranean herbs delight the nose. On the palate, full-bodied, balanced, and spicy with strong notes of star anise and licorice. Enjoy on ice, neat, in long drinks, or as an aperitif.
