With Arvesølvet Aquavit, the Norwegian distillery Det Norske Brenneri aims to create a legacy. This authentically Norwegian aquavit has been crafted using natural ingredients, based on a Norwegian potato spirit. The selected ingredients for this premium aquavit come from picturesque valleys, rugged cliffs and crystal-clear mountain streams. It is matured for six to twelve months in the finest ex-sherry casks from Spain. ‘What will our sons and daughters inherit? We want to leave behind more than just gleaming cutlery. We want to give them something genuine, made with the finest ingredients. From the valley where our sun sets, from the hilltop where we found dandelions. From the little stream flowing down the mountain, fed by the melting snow at the very top. It is both a great honour and a great responsibility for us to distil something worthy of the future. The silver you now own is ageing in the very finest sherry casks we have sourced from Spain.”

Crafted with natural ingredients and based on a Norwegian potato spirit, this authentically Norwegian aquavit draws its ingredients from picturesque valleys, rugged cliffs, and crystal-clear mountain streams. It matures for 6 to 12 months in the finest ex-sherry casks from Spain. The nose is treated to the seductive aromas of oranges, plums, and citrus oils, followed by delightful notes of fresh grapefruit, cumin, cardamom, coriander, star anise, and vanilla. The palate is incredibly complex, revealing wonderful flavors of cumin, anise, orange marmalade, and licorice. Its finish is remarkably long, and the exquisite taste lingers until the very last sip. Arvesølvet goes perfectly with traditional Norwegian dishes, but is also a delight simply on its own in a tulip-shaped glass.
