Cody Road
Cody Road Whisky is produced with great care and attention to detail in Le Claire, Iowa, by the Mississippi River Distilling Company. This company specialises in the production of premium American whiskies, including rye whisky, thereby paying tribute to a regional and national legend. Just about a mile from the distillery, the famous William ‘Buffalo Bill’ Cody was born; his historical significance is reflected in the naming and philosophy of the products. Particularly noteworthy is the company’s ‘grain-to-glass’ approach. Every stage of production is carried out on-site, using only grain grown locally within a 25-mile radius.

MRDC Cody Road Bourbon 0.5L
MRDC Cody Road Bourbon Whiskey is a handcrafted bourbon from the Mississippi River Distilling Company, deeply rooted in regional history and craftsmanship. Named after William "Buffalo Bill" Cody, who was born in Le Claire, this bourbon embodies pioneering spirit, character, and authenticity. It is made using a balanced mash bill consisting primarily of corn, supplemented with wheat and unmalted barley. This combination gives the whiskey its smooth texture and distinctive grain character. After distillation, the bourbon is aged in small, freshly charred oak barrels, allowing it to interact intensely with the wood and quickly develop depth. The nose reveals sweet corn notes, accompanied by vanilla and caramel. On the palate, soft grain sweetness, light fruitiness, and nutty accents unfold, rounded out by subtle wood and spice notes. The finish is pleasantly smooth, rounded, yet expressive. A characterful bourbon that is equally convincing when enjoyed neat as well as a high-quality base for classic whiskey cocktails.

MRDC River Rose Gin 0.75L
The Mississippi River Distilling Company, based in Le Claire, is committed to a consistent "grain-to-bottle" approach. They place great emphasis on regional sourcing, beginning with locally grown and harvested grain. A large portion of the grain used comes from within a few kilometers of the distillery. Founded in 2010, the company's production revolves around the German-made still known as the "Rose." This distillation system also lends its name to River Rose Gin, inspired by a time when life was considered graceful and inspiring. The gin is based on regional grain and infused with botanicals from a historic 19th-century recipe. The result is a classic dry gin with fresh notes of orange, grapefruit, and lemon, complemented by locally sourced rose petals and cucumber, giving the gin its distinctive, regional character.
