Calvados Morin
Calvados Morin was originally founded in 1889 by Pierre Morin’s father as a small family business in the small French town of Haye de Calleville in the Risle Valley. Pierre Morin first moved the company to Brionne and later to Ivry-la-Bataille. In 1945, Calvados Morin finally established its headquarters in the old premises of the former Distillerie de Thélème. This site in Normandy features unique, long tunnels driven into the chalk hills of the Eure Valley, which penetrate deep into the rock and contain extensive underground vaulted cellars. The conditions there are ideal for the maturation of the many Calvados casks, as climatic fluctuations (with humidity levels of up to 100 per cent) bring about a natural reduction in alcohol content. Following in the footsteps of Pierre Morin, Monsieur Viry and his son now run the business. Calvados Morin’s range comprises a wide selection of different grades, spanning from three to 30 years of ageing.

Calvados Morin 10YO 0.7L
The story of Calvados and the Morin family began in 1889 in the small village of Haye de Calleville in the Risle Valley of Normandy. Pierre Morin succeeded his father and moved the Morin Calvados house first to Brionne and then to Ivry-la-Bataille, a small town in the Eure Valley. Over 200 different apple varieties, sourced from the oldest and most productive trees in the region, can be used to make cider, resulting in a truly unique Calvados. Calvados Morin 10 Year Old is distilled in a column still and then aged for at least ten years in Limousin oak barrels in the historic facilities of the Distillerie de Thélème: a unique establishment with long tunnels driven deep into the chalk hills of the Eure Valley, creating extensive underground cellars. Calvados Morin 10YO reveals an intense golden-yellow color and surprises the nose with a fresh aroma of tarte Tatin, rounded off by light notes of coffee and vanilla. On the palate, it is smooth with a long, gentle, and warm finish. Perfect on ice as an aperitif or at the end of a meal as a digestif.

Calvados Morin PrimEure Apple Spirit 0.5L
The story of Calvados Morin began in 1889. After several relocations, the French company settled permanently in early February 1945 in the historic facilities of the Distillerie de Thélème in the idyllic village of Ivry-la-Bataille in the Eure Valley of Normandy. Spacious underground cellars, where hundreds of small oak barrels could be stored and matured, provided ideal conditions for aging Calvados Morin's high-quality products. This Prim'Eure Apple Spirit is a fine gourmet drink made with apple juice and Calvados Morin. It displays a brilliant straw-yellow color with bronze highlights. The nose offers intense aromas of ripe apples, accompanied by notes of vanilla and apple compote, which are harmoniously echoed on the palate. The mouthfeel is full, rich, fruity, and well-rounded. Calvados Morin Selection 0.7L -GB-
In northwestern France lies Normandy, a verdant landscape dotted with apple orchards. From the 19th century onward, the cider eau-de-vie produced in Normandy from its many apple varieties was known as "Calvados." Calvados is a French adaptation of the original Spanish word "Calvador," derived from the Spanish ship "El Calvador," which sailed with the supposedly invincible Spanish Armada against England and was wrecked on the Normandy coast in 1588. This Calvados Morin Sélection matured for two to three years in oak barrels specially crafted for the House of Morin, where it developed both its beautiful aromas and its bright straw-yellow color. Delicate and light fragrances waft from the glass, opening into fruit with subtle forest notes. On the palate, it is well-balanced with a fresh mouthfeel. Calvados Morin Sélection is appreciated as a versatile liqueur, e.g., For example, in cocktails, in long drinks, with a good tonic water or in sorbets.
