Kaniche Rum

Kaniché is synonymous with exceptional rum creations from the magnificent Caribbean. There, they are aged for many years in the hot and humid Caribbean climate, in fine young ex-bourbon oak casks. The rums, wonderfully matured in this way, are then shipped to France. In keeping with an age-old tradition that was already in use in the 18th and 19th centuries, they are left to mature for at least a few more months near the town of Cognac in small, ex-Cognac casks, to further develop and round off their character. The result is a range of incomparable and elegant Caribbean rums.

Kaniché's latest bottling is not a Barbadian distillate, but rather the finest, carefully selected rum from Panama. Like the XO Double Wood, it initially matures in ex-bourbon barrels in Panama before being shipped to Cognac, France. There, the rum is transferred to Cognac casks to develop its individual profile for a few more months before being bottled in a limited edition of 2,112 bottles. The beautifully amber-colored Kaniché Perfeccion Double Wood has much to offer on the nose and palate. It exudes wonderful aromas of oak, vanilla, and spices, but its full complexity and refinement are revealed on the palate. Incredibly smooth and harmonious, it seduces with delicious notes of molasses, dried fruit, vanilla, and oak. Cognac notes and hints of cocoa, caramel, and orange can also be detected. From the first sip to the last, it's a new experience every time.
