The Manguin distillery is located on France's largest river island – Île de la Barthelasse – just outside Avignon. An old Manguin recipe, primarily based on cardamom, anise extract, licorice, coriander, vanilla, cinnamon, and thyme, was given a touch of pear brandy, resulting in a unique pastis recipe for the distillery. The addition of Williams pear brandy enlivens this subtle blend of herbs and spices, making it soft and rounded. The combination of a rather spicy pastis with the sweetness of the pear creates an incredible blend. Manguin Pastis is presented in an elegant, distinctive black bottle and offers the nose and palate a wonderfully subtle yet powerful bouquet of aromas, including spices and herbs, along with lovely, soft pear notes. Simply a refined, full-bodied pastis from Provence that will win over even the most discerning palates.
