The long-established Distillerie des Terres Rouges, located in the small French village of Turenne in the Corrèze region, is responsible for this lovingly crafted Pastis. Since its founding, the distillery has developed unique expertise, extensive experience, and a great deal of creativity in the production of alcoholic beverages (aperitifs, fruit liqueurs, and spirits) using natural, locally sourced ingredients. For example, all ingredients, such as fruits, plants, and spices, are processed directly at the distillery through maceration or distillation and are not used as extracts. This sophisticated Pastis des Terres Rouges includes many ingredients such as star anise and green anise, licorice root, white cardamom, juniper, green cardamom, mace, caraway, mugwort, angelica, sage, coriander, and cloves. On the nose, pleasant, delicate notes of star anise and licorice emerge, followed by delicious, subtle spice and herbal notes. Rich, balanced, and complex on the palate, with similar sensations to those on the nose. This excellent pastis is traditionally enjoyed in France with ice or plenty of water.
