The Henriques family has owned extensive lands and cultivated their own vineyards on Madeira since the 16th century. In 1850, João Gonçalves Henriques finally founded the company Henriques & Henriques. He left behind three sons. Two of the brothers made a bet: whoever married first would have to forfeit their inheritance. Antonio Eduardo married first and left the company. He then founded an independent Madeira wine company under his own name: AEH. After his death, his widow sold AEH to Henriques & Henriques. This AEH Antonio Eduardo Henriques Madeira 15YO Boal Medium Rich is made from the Boal grape variety and is even more complex than its 10YO Boal counterpart. In the glass, it displays a bright amber color with golden reflections. A deep and intense aroma of dried fruit, revealing its 15 years of aging, unfolds on the nose. On the palate, a full-bodied, aromatic complexity unfolds with lively acidity, underscored by a medium-sweet taste of dried fruit. Everything is well-balanced between acidity and sweetness, with a long finish.
