The Henriques family has been established on the beautiful island of Madeira since the 16th century, owning extensive estates and vineyards. It wasn't until 1850 that João Gonçalves Henriques founded the company Henriques & Henriques, which remains renowned for its first-class Madeira wines. After his death, his three sons inherited the business, from which Antonio Eduardo Henriques had to leave, having made a bet with one of his brothers: whoever married first would forfeit their inheritance. Antonio Eduardo was fortunate in love and lost the bet. He then founded his own Madeira wine company under his own name: AEH. After his death in 1948, his widow sold AEH to Henriques & Henriques. This AEH Antonio Eduardo Henriques Madeira 15YO Malvasia Rich Sweet is made from Malvasia grapes and aged for 15 years in oak barrels. It presents itself in a light amber color with subtle golden reflections and offers the nose complex aromas of nuts, jam, and a touch of wood. On the palate, it is full-bodied, rich, and smooth, with a flavor profile of nuts and honey, leading into a very pleasant finish.
