Product information "Albert Michler Single Cask Collection Rum Fiji 2012/2022 Cask No. 12 0.7L -GB-"

The Fiji Islands (officially the Republic of Fiji) are located in the South Pacific and are a small South Seas paradise on the other side of the world. There you'll find magnificent white beaches, colorful coral reefs, and colonial-era architecture. The base for this Albert Michler Single Cask Collection Rum Fiji 2012/2022 Cask No. 12 is molasses made from the finest local sugarcane. Distillation took place in 2012 in a column still at the South Pacific Distillery, located in Lautoka on Fiji's main island of Viti Levu. There, the distillate matured in oak barrels in the tropical maritime climate. In 2017, the distillate was prepared for shipment to Liverpool, England. Once there, this rum underwent its continental maturation in a former bourbon barrel before continuing its journey to Scotland for the bottling of just 283 bottles in 2022. Lush notes of green tea and honey unfold on the nose, followed by tangy lemon zest, a hint of ginger, and caramel and vanilla. The palate reveals notes of mint and the spicy freshness of citrus fruits with hints of nuts that mingle with the woody notes of this delicious Fiji rum.
