The term "Angels' Share" refers, according to legend, to the portion of a spirit that evaporates from the cask during maturation in the cellars. Angels' Nectar has adopted this name. In 2014, Robert Ransom founded Highfern Ltd. and has since owned the Angels' Nectar brand, based in Grantown-on-Spey, Scotland. The Angels' Nectar Single Malt Scotch Whisky Oloroso Sherry Cask Edition comes from a small, select distillery in the Perthshire region of the Scottish Highlands. Distilled in 2015, it was then matured for six years in specially selected ex-Oloroso sherry casks before being bottled as a limited edition of 2,244 bottles. Golden in color, it presents itself on the nose with delicate sweet notes, a hint of mahogany, followed by fudge and moist fruitcake. A pronounced sherry elegance lends depth to the palate and harmoniously rounds off the character of this single malt.
