The renowned Spiribam distillery in France is synonymous with exceptional rum craftsmanship and creative cask management. For Arcane Flamboyance, fresh sugarcane juice is fermented for approximately 30 hours and then distilled in classic column stills. After initial maturation in oak barrels, it undergoes a special finishing process in peaty French single malt whisky casks – an exceptional aging method that imparts depth and character to the rum. In the glass, it displays a golden hue with copper highlights. The nose unfolds a complex bouquet of caramelized sugar, toasted coconut, vanilla, floral notes, and subtle smoke. On the palate, the rum is smooth, full-bodied, and harmonious, with flavors of candied fruit, sugarcane, spicy oak, and a hint of honey. The smoky note from the whisky cask adds further complexity. The finish is long, smooth, and creamy. This exquisite rum is best enjoyed neat in a wide glass at room temperature.
