Nägelesbirne is a hand-distilled, single-varietal organic brandy from the Bayer & Bayer organic distillery in Witzigmänn on Lake Constance, just outside Lindau. This delicious distillate owes its complex and full-bodied pear aroma to an old perry pear variety native to the Lake Constance region. There are not many fruit trees of this variety left in the area, and their fruit is used in this brandy. The result is a full-bodied and wonderfully pear-scented brandy that fully unfolds its intense aromas on the palate. A perfect taste description of the natural environment of a traditional orchard.
