The highly aromatic pear variety "Wahlsche Schnapsbirne" was discovered by chance by Erich Wahl in the 1970s and subsequently named after him. This variety produces a stronger and more intense fruit flavor than the Williams pear and exudes wonderfully fragrant pear aromas, accompanied by delicate notes of honey and mango. The small but exquisite organic distillery Bayer & Bayer, located in the tranquil village of Witzigmänn on Lake Constance, cultivates this rare pear variety on its more than ten hectares of fields and orchards, which also include around 50 different pure fruit varieties. The family-run distillery always strives to capture the maximum richness of aroma and fruit quality in its bottles. This has clearly been achieved with the Wahlsche Schnapsbirne brandy, in which the fruity and fresh pear aroma unfolds on the palate, offering connoisseurs a truly exceptional taste experience.
