The Blandy family is among Madeira's most renowned producers, continuing the tradition of winemaking on the Atlantic island of the same name for over 200 years, now in its seventh generation. Blandy's Madeira Bual 30 Years Medium Rich is the result of decades of aging and masterful blending – a wine with depth, elegance, refinement, and history. The Bual grapes used come from São Jorge in northern Madeira, a region with an ideal microclimate. The blend was composed of the best vintages of the last five decades and aged in the traditional Canteiro system in American oak barrels – with an average age of 32 years. The youngest wine is 11 years old, the oldest 47. On the nose, aromas of candied citrus peel, baked peaches, apricots, and delicate spices are revealed. On the palate, the Madeira impresses with a creamy texture, vibrant acidity, a hint of white pepper, and a long, herbaceous finish. A characterful dessert wine, perfect at 14-16°C with cheese, nuts or as a soloist for special occasions - a masterpiece for lovers of mature Madeira wines.
