Bristol Guyana Port Mourant 1999/2022 Limited Edition Anniversary Bottling is an exceptional Demerara rum from Guyana, released by Bristol Spirits. The spirit takes its name from its distillation in the Port Mourant Double Wooden Still, one of the most famous pot stills in the Caribbean, originally built on the vast Diamond Distillery complex, located on the east bank of the Demerara River, south of the center of Georgetown, Guyana's capital. After distillation in 1999, the spirit was initially aged in oak barrels under the Caribbean sun before being transferred in 2004 to the cool cellars of Bristol Spirits in the United Kingdom, where it continued to mature until bottling in 2022. The result is a fine, naturally colored rum that reveals a full bouquet of fruit and balanced wood aromas. It is characterized by its rich flavor, depth, and natural sweetness on the palate. A hint of anise is often noticeable in the long finish. This exclusive and unique Port Mourant bottling was specially selected to celebrate Haromex Development's 30th anniversary.
