This Reserve Rum from Mauritius is also part of Bristol Spirits' Bristol Classic Rum range and was produced from the finest fresh island sugarcane at the La Bourdonnais Distillery in Mauritius. The careful distillation in a column still took place in 2010. A year later, the distillate was transferred to the cellars of Bristol Spirits in England. There, the rum first matured in a refill used American oak barrel and then underwent a second maturation in a former Cognac cask. This ten-year aging process gave Reserve Rum of Mauritius its unique flavor profile and beautiful medium-gold color. On the nose and palate, it offers delightful fruit notes with soft, balanced oak aromas. The subtle fruit and well-integrated oak notes lead to a long, well-balanced finish. Reserve Rum of Mauritius is best enjoyed slowly with a splash of water or on the rocks.
