With this exotic and promising Bristol Mauritius Labourdonnais 2010/2022 Cognac Finish, the independent bottler Bristol Spirits has once again unearthed a treasure on Mauritius, the small island in the Indian Ocean. This rum is made from molasses derived from fresh sugarcane grown in the region. Distilled in 2010 at the La Bourdonnais Distillery using a column still, it was then aged for a year in American oak barrels under the tropical Mauritian sun. In 2011, the precious rum was transferred to England and placed in the cellars of Bristol Spirits. There, it rested for another ten years, undergoing its refined finishing in a former French cognac cask, which significantly contributed to its exquisite aromas. Bottled in a limited edition in 2022, the Bristol Mauritius Labourdonnais 2010/2022 Cognac Finish presents itself in a medium golden color and boasts a charismatic freshness. It begins with a soft nose and subtle fruity notes, which transition on the palate into a well-balanced finish with hints of oak. Enjoy with a splash of water or on the rocks!
