Only very carefully selected rums are released in the Bristol Classic Rum Range by the independent English bottler Bristol Spirits. This Mauritius Cane Juice White Rhum is produced from fresh sugarcane juice on the traditional La Bourdonnais Estate in northern Mauritius and is stylistically based on the character of a Rhum Agricole. After the fermentation of the fresh sugarcane juice, it undergoes gentle distillation in a continuous column still. The distillate then rests for a period of time in stainless steel tanks to develop its clear and well-rounded flavor profile. In 2011, the rum was transported to England to Bristol Spirits and bottled there using chill filtration. In the glass, it presents itself as crystal clear and brilliant. The nose reveals fresh fruit notes with a hint of apple and vibrant clarity. On the palate, the rum is short, clean, and fruit-forward, with a purity almost reminiscent of juniper. The typical fresh aromatics combine with a soft, rounded sweetness and culminate in an elegant, pleasantly balanced finish. A characterful white rum with a clear origin and a delicate freshness.
