The independent English bottler Bristol Spirits consistently delivers the finest distilled rum specialties to the world market. The Port Morant Estate in Guyana, founded in the 18th century, was one of the first producers of the renowned Demerara rum style. This unique Port Morant Guyana 2010/2021, from the Bristol Classic Rum range, was produced by the Diamond Distillery, part of Demerara Distillers Ltd. Distilled in 2010 in an old double wooden still from Demerara Distillers, the distillate was transported to England to Bristol Spirits. There, the Port Morant Guyana 2010/2021 rum matured for 11 years in used (refill) American oak barrels until its bottling in 2021. The result is a magnificent, rich, and typical Demerara-style rum with a pale gold hue. The nose detects fresh, intense notes of fruit and anise. On the palate, lively flavors follow without much oak influence, beautifully soft and well-balanced, with a medium-long finish. Wonderful to enjoy on ice or mixed in your favorite drink.
