Chalong Bay Rum – The Spirit of Phuket – represents the harmonious fusion of East and West, uniting Asian rum tradition with European distillation expertise. This rare Thai rum is handcrafted in Phuket by Andaman Distillers using pure Thai sugarcane juice. The gentle distillation takes place in a copper Armagnac pot still imported from France, followed by a 28-month double-barrel aging period. The distillate first rests in new American oak barrels before being refined for its second maturation in ex-bourbon barrels. Bottled without chill filtration or additives, the rum is made exclusively from natural ingredients, thus preserving its authentic character. This unique combination of East and West opens new aromatic horizons for the connoisseur. On the nose and palate, the light golden Chalong Bay Double Barrel Rum is intense and expressive, with notes of vanilla and coconut, warm spices, and toasted oats. This aromatic profile is complemented by subtle roasted and smoky notes, as well as hints of caramel and fresh sugarcane.
