On the southeast coast of Phuket lies the picturesque Chalong Bay, which gave its name to this unique, pure, crystal-clear Chalong Bay Pure Series Rum. With the founding of the Chalong Bay Distillery, a young French couple realized their dream of producing handcrafted, sustainable, and innovative rums in Thailand. The foundation of this rum is the finest selected sugarcane, cultivated by local farmers without chemical fertilizers and harvested by hand. The freshly harvested cane is then pressed to obtain 100% pure sugarcane juice. This is followed by distillation in an imported French copper still, a pioneering process for this rum, which imparts its smooth, tropical flavor profile without the addition of preservatives or artificial flavorings. The nose detects delicate notes of coconut milk and sugarcane juice, complemented by beautiful lavender and honey aromas that gradually unfold. Delicious chocolate and coffee aromas stand out on the palate, underscored by fiery spicy notes of pepper, nutmeg, and chili. This is followed by a very clean finish with delicate hints of lychee.
