Yet, Armagnac is not a brandy; it preserves the vibrant character of wine, the signature of the grape variety, and the unique characteristics of each vintage. Château Arton produces outstanding Armagnacs from select vintages that particularly highlight the exceptional terroir of the Haut-Armagnac AOC. The basis for this exquisite Château Arton Haut Armagnac La Flamme 2013 is Ugni Blanc grapes from the estate's own vineyards. Distilled gently in the traditional Alambic Armagnacais, the Armagnac then rested and matured for eight years in oak barrels before being bottled at cask strength. Armagnac La Flamme impresses with a very beautiful and intense aroma profile: On the nose, elegant notes of vanilla, brioche and cinnamon are revealed, while the palate delights with lively and fresh aromas of cherry and black pepper.
