Château Arton is located in the Haut-Armagnac region of southwestern France and was founded by Patrick de Montal, a passionate winemaker and Armagnac expert specializing in younger Armagnacs. Thus, everything at the family-run Domaine d'Arton revolves around producing the finest, purest Armagnacs – from the vine to the wine to the final Armagnac. As early as 1986, Patrick ventured into new territory and created the first Blanche Armagnac. This Château Arton Haut Armagnac La Reserve is a blend of eaux-de-vie aged for six years in oak barrels, based on Ugni Blanc and Colombard grapes. Distillation took place in an Alambic Armagnacais (column still). The amber-colored Armagnac La Reserve comes in a stylish bottle with an unusual and modern label design. The nose and palate detect an impressive array of aromas with wonderfully fruity and spicy notes, as well as hints of citrus peel, pepper, and subtle floral nuances. The finish is long and intense. This Armagnac won the "Prix d'Excellence" at the 2017 Concours Général Agricole.
