Château de Lacquy continues its three-hundred-year-old tradition of excellence by managing the entire Armagnac production process on-site, from grape cultivation to winemaking, distillation, aging, and bottling. The estate currently comprises approximately 400 hectares in one contiguous area, including 25 hectares of vines dedicated exclusively to Armagnac production. This exquisite Armagnac is a blend of five different vintages and three grape varieties, with the youngest in the blend being distilled 17 years ago and giving the wine its name. All the Armagnacs in the blend were aged in oak barrels in the ancient cellars of Château de Lacquy. The Armagnac 17YO XO displays a beautiful dark brown color with subtle greenish reflections at the rim. Expressive, mild, and sweet on the nose, with aromas of candied walnut, oak, vanilla, dried figs, and chocolate, it reveals itself on the palate as distinctly complex and mature, with a powerful body. The creamy finish, with delightful notes of spice and vanilla, is a truly perfect taste experience, wonderfully balanced and perfectly mature.
