Product information "Chateau de Lacquy Bas Armagnac 2010/2023 Baco 0.7L -GB-"
Château de Lacquy is a 400-hectare estate with its own vineyards, located in the finest part of the Armagnac region of Gascony in southwestern France. The château and estate have existed for 300 years. It has been managed by the same family since 1711, making it the oldest family-owned Armagnac producer. The château itself was built in 1770 and expanded in 1910. Château de Lacquy continues its long-standing tradition of excellence by bottling only wines produced on its own vineyards, distilleries, and aging cellars. The Baco grape is a cross between Piquepoult ("folle blanche") and Noah. Baco grapes are highly resistant to disease, ideally suited for distillation, and yield interesting, complex Armagnacs that age well and retain their qualities even with age. This Château de Lacquy Bas Armagnac 2010/2023 Baco displays a golden amber color and offers the nose aromas of citrus fruits (candied orange peel), nuts, and raspberries, with a hint of warm rose. On the palate, it is spicy (black pepper), with a touch of clove and candied orange, leading into a sweet and lingering finish.
