The historic Dalva Port House has been synonymous with high-quality port wines from the Douro Valley since 1862, combining decades of experience with traditional craftsmanship. Dalva Tawny Port 10 Years Old is crafted from traditional grape varieties of the designated Douro region, including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Roriz, and Tinto Cão. Following the classic port winemaking process, fermentation is halted by the addition of wine distillate. Selected wines are then aged for varying lengths of time in wooden barrels and blended into a harmonious 10-Year-Old Tawny. The result is a port with an intense golden-amber color and an expressive bouquet. On the nose, it reveals typical notes of barrel aging, including dried fruits, honey, and subtle spices. On the palate, it is soft, balanced, and harmonious, supported by a subtle fruitiness and a silky, smooth texture. This Tawny is best enjoyed slightly chilled as an accompaniment to almond cake, egg-based desserts, dried fruits, or medium-bodied cheeses.
