With the Arrangé series, the Dzamadzar distillery, located in Madagascar off the coast of Africa, expands its renowned Dzama brand with another richly aromatic rum. Dzama Arrangé Citronelle is a flavored rum offering a delightful interplay of rum, various fruits, and spices. Dzama rum is made from high-quality sugarcane grown on the distillery's own plantations and is infused with aromas including ylang-ylang, pepper, clove, a touch of vanilla, and, of course, lemongrass (Citronelle – the namesake). The aging process in select French Limousin oak barrels has also significantly contributed to its unique flavor. The nose and palate are treated to subtle notes of exquisite lemongrass, fruits, and wood; overall, it is fresh, slightly sweet, spicy, and highly aromatic. It is wonderfully served ice-cold as an aperitif or after a fine meal.
