This premium Dzama Vanilla Blanc Rum is produced by the world-renowned Dzamandzar Distillery in Madagascar, located southeast of Africa in the Indian Ocean. The name Vidzar means "old rum from Dzamandzar," and the word "Zama" means "friend" or "confidant." Dzama Rum's original founder, Lucien Fohine, discovered a sugar factory on the small island of Nosy Be, off the coast of Madagascar, in the 1980s that produced alcohol with truly unique aromas. Using fresh sugarcane juice as a base, Lucien started his own rum production. Today, his son, Franck Fohine, manages the company, aiming to create high-quality and innovative spirits while perfectly blending tradition and modernity. Madagascar offers a wealth of wonderful ingredients, most notably the Malagasy vanilla bean, which is carefully cultivated and prepared according to ancient traditions. A whole vanilla bean is used in this white Dzama Vanilla Blanc. The combination of vanilla with white Madagascan rum creates refined and exotic aromas, with pronounced vanilla notes that offer the connoisseur a unique taste.
