The Dzama Vieux 5YO Cognac Finish, from the renowned Dzamandzar distillery in the town of the same name on Nosy Be, a beautiful island off the coast of Madagascar, matures in two phases for a total of five years. First, it is traditionally aged in oak barrels, where it develops its exquisite aromas of smoke and roasted coffee. It then receives its finishing touch in old oak casks that previously held cognac. This phase lends the mature rum a distinctive character and exceptional smoothness. The exclusive rum is a beautifully delicate mahogany color with exciting, fiery highlights.
