Product information "El Dorado The Last Casks 1998/2022 Tri-Canada & Port Mourant & Enmore Black 0.7L"

With the limited El Dorado "The Last Casks" Edition 1998, Demerara Distillers present a rum of exceptional rarity. This complex blend unites distillates from the long-decommissioned Tri-Canada Redistillation Still with rums from the legendary Port Mourant Double Wooden Pot Still and the Enmore Wooden Coffey Still, thus exemplifying the historical diversity of Demerara distillation. The foundation of this rum was laid in 1998 and carefully developed over more than two decades in the tropical climate of Guyana in their own cask warehouse, a legacy of the late Master Distiller George Robinson. The long maturation in ex-bourbon barrels gives the rum its remarkable depth, structure, and harmony. In the glass, it reveals itself as powerful and expressive. On the nose, smoky and earthy aromas of raisins, prunes, cinnamon, and vanilla unfold, complemented by roasted almonds and fine wood notes. On the palate, it is dry, complex, and elegant with hints of candied orange peel, honey, toffee, and dark chocolate. The long, multifaceted finish underscores its distinctive style and makes this rum an authentic and captivating representative of the great Demerara tradition.
