The unique Elg No. 2 Gin is produced in a limited edition of 1,250 bottles and is an "Old Tom" gin. This traditional, subtly sweetened gin style was created in the 19th century by Master Distiller Tom Chamberlain. It is made with just three botanicals: juniper, coriander, and carrot, each distilled separately using the column still method. Additionally, dried juniper berries are macerated in alcohol for four weeks. This process imparts a delicate, subtle sweetness typical of Old Tom gin; no additional sugar is added. The gin has an impressive dark color and a diverse array of aromas and flavors. On the nose, a wonderful, intense juniper scent dominates, with intriguing notes of citrus and roots. It has a pleasant mouthfeel with a slightly oily viscosity and reveals wonderful flavor notes of juniper, fresh citrus, roots, resin, and a hint of earthiness. Its finish is remarkably long and sweet.
