The unique Danish premium gin Elg No. 4, from the Stone Grange Craft Distillery on the beautiful Lake Esrum north of Copenhagen, is produced in an exclusive, strictly limited edition of 1,250 bottles. Master Distiller Henrik Elsner personally signs each bottle by hand. Henrik Elsner is also the namesake of Elg Gin, as his nickname "Elg" is the Danish word for moose. Only three botanicals are used to distill the incomparable Elg Gin: juniper, coriander, and Danish carrots, allowing for exceptional precision in the production of this exquisite gin. At the Stone Grange Distillery, these three botanicals are distilled separately, each on its own, using a special form of column still distillation based on a wheat distillate. What makes Elg No. 4 truly special is the use of very specific carrots: black carrots give it its beautiful red color, which transforms into an intense pink when mixed with tonic water.
