Harahorn is the name of a Norwegian mythical creature and also the name of a Norwegian mountain where the midnight sky is ablaze with the Northern Lights. This inspired Det Norske Brenneri, formerly Puntervold/Agder Brenneri, located in Grimstad, Southern Norway, to create Harahorn Small Batch Gins. On this mountain plateau, the ripe juniper berries are harvested. Following the Harahorn's trail downhill, one passes through abandoned mountain farms where rhubarb is harvested, all the way to the deep forests of the Norwegian lowlands where blueberries grow. Lemon, lime, orange, and rhubarb characterize this Harahorn Orange Dry Gin Miniatures, giving it a fresh and intense citrus flavor. Initially, light fruity notes emerge, slowly fading, and cool elements from the orris root become prominent, while caraway provides a moment of complete relaxation to prepare the palate for a slightly spicy kick on the finish. The complex, aromatic experience is created by a bouquet of flowers, exotic pepper, angelica root, juniper berries and fresh lime peel, as well as first-class Ceylon cinnamon bark.
