With the Hernö High Coast Terroir Gin 2018, Hernö launches an exceptional gin, limited to 1058 bottles, that transports the connoisseur directly to the northern forests of Sweden. Based on a blend of malt and wheat spirits, this gin is refined with fine and fresh, strictly local botanicals. These include juniper, rowan berries, elderflower, and spruce shoots. All botanicals are carefully hand-harvested and processed in the High Coast (Höga Küste) region, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On the nose, the Hernö High Coast Terroir Gin 2018 is wonderfully fresh with abundant juniper and beautiful floral aromas with a certain depth. On the palate, it is complexly floral, yet has a distinct juniper profile that transitions into a fresh rowan berry note towards the finish. A dry yet rich mouthfeel leads into a long finish, pleasantly warm with elderflower and peppery notes, but also sweet with spruce notes.
