Hernö Old Tom Gin is produced in the town of Dala in the Ångermanland region of Sweden and is based on the tried-and-tested recipe of Hernö Navy Strength Gin. This premium gin is meticulously handcrafted, combining tradition, quality, and passion. Eight carefully selected botanicals, sourced from around the world and of exclusively natural origin, are used in this bottling. These include juniper from Hungary, coriander seeds from Bulgaria, hand-peeled lemons, Swedish cranberries, meadowsweet from Great Britain, black pepper from India, cassia from Indonesia, and fresh vanilla from Madagascar. The Old Tom Gin intentionally uses a higher proportion of meadowsweet, which gives the distillate its delicate, natural sweetness and gentle, honey-like aromas. On the palate, the gin is balanced, smooth, and aromatic, with a harmonious balance of spice, freshness, and subtle sweetness. This Old Tom Gin is particularly well-suited as an elegant base for classic long drinks such as the Gin Fizz or other timeless cocktail variations.
