Hernö Sipping Gin is a unique creation from the Hernö distillery in the Swedish coastal region of Höga Kusten – a gin matured in oak barrels previously used to age other specialty spirits. Each strictly limited edition matures in a different, specially selected, high-quality barrel. The result is a clear, straw-yellow gin distinguished by its powerful character. On the nose, delicious sweet, fruity, floral, and peaty notes emerge. Hints of espresso, toffee, and vanilla are present, along with fresh citrus and pine aromas. On the palate, juniper immediately takes center stage, underscored by intense peat notes, sweet toffee, and pear. This magnificent sipping gin is peppery and warm with a soft, creamy texture. The incredibly long finish is characterized by smoke, which evolves into notes of juniper, cassia, and fruit, ultimately ending dry and slightly salty.
