The old saying "Good things take time" perfectly embodies the philosophy of this Hernö Slow Sloe Gin. Hernö is breaking new ground by maturing its gin in diverse ways. As the very first distillery in the world, Hernö matures its gin in juniper barrels. In this case, Hernö celebrates the art of slowness, giving both itself and the carefully selected berries a full eight months to mature together. This double-matured, organic, super-premium gin, presented in a Scandinavian design, perfectly captures the essence of slowing down and savoring the moment. Nine organic botanicals, including juniper berries, coriander seeds, black pepper, cassia bark, vanilla, cranberries, meadowsweet, and lemon peel, were initially refined and matured with organic sloe berries for four months. This Slow Sloe Gin then matured for a further four months in 39.25-liter juniper barrels, before being gently sweetened to perfection. Soft on the nose, with floral sloe notes and gentle vanilla sweetness, as well as nutty and woody elements, this gin is full-bodied, fruity, and sweet on the palate, well-balanced between the gentle dryness of the sloe berries and the floral freshness of Hernö Gin.
