Rooted in Burgundy for generations, Charles-Guillaume Simon, Master Distiller, along with his wife Blandine, took over Clos Saint Joseph in 2014. A winery founded in 1840, it had been forgotten for over 50 years. The Distillerie du Clos Saint Joseph now produces a range of spirits. This exquisite L'Ô D'ICY Joséfine Eau de Vie is based on a blend of the finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, rich in aroma and fruit, typical of the Burgundy region. After gentle fermentation, it underwent triple distillation. The distillate then matured for three years and eight months in select American oak barrels in the distillery's cellars in Meursault. Cuvée Joséfine is an Eau de Vie distinguished by its pleasantly smoky nose. On the palate, a delicate wine note emerges, followed by intense gourmet notes of vanilla, crème brûlée, and caramel. This delicious eau-de-vie should be enjoyed "on the rocks" after a good meal or as an aperitif with tonic water.
