The small but exquisite Couderc Distillery has been operating in the French Auvergne region for over 100 years, dedicated to producing high-quality specialty spirits such as creams, liqueurs, and brandies. The renowned quality of their products is based on years of traditional craftsmanship, time-honored original recipes, unique and secret production methods, and a rigorous selection of local ingredients. This Couderc Eau de Vie de Gentiane Sauvage uses only wild gentian root. After harvesting, the roots are cut, crushed, and macerated in alcohol. The resulting spirit then matures in carefully selected oak barrels. The nose reveals intense gentian aromas with delicate floral and slightly bitter notes. On the palate, it is earthy, subtly floral, and spicy. A characterful brandy with a robust strength, ideal as a digestif after a meal.
